ECOCERT
ECOCERT is a European-based organization for organic certification, covering more than 150 labels. It operates worldwide in over 130 countries and certify 70% of the organic food and agriculture in France as well as 30% of all organic products worldwide.
ECOCERT verifies and certifies food, cosmetics, detergents, perfumes, and textiles to ensure they meet specific environmental and sustainability standards.
Certification Process
ECOCERT isn’t an independent certification, rather a collaborative agency, working together with other certification bodies and agencies to grant over 150 different labels. ECOCERT certifies a diverse range of products, including food, cosmetics, detergents, perfumes, and textiles.
ECOCERT’s certification process involves a thorough evaluation of each product’s ingredients, manufacturing processes, and overall ecological footprint. Inspections and audits are conducted to ensure compliance with organic farming methods, absence of harmful chemicals, and adherence to fair labor practices.
Depending on the label applied for, the certification looks different and its granting is dependent on the separate criterias for certification.
